Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which way round do I put the buggy into the boot?

Simply - any way it fits! This site will include any buggy or travel system that can fit in the boot space; horizontally, vertically on its side or even standing upright.

So, if a buggy will fit vertically, but not horizontally, the buggy will still appear in the search results.

You can use our Will my buggy fit? tool which will show you which way a buggy will and won't fit into your car.

  • How accurate are the sizes for the car boot dimensions?

We’re very confident in our data (our car data is measured to ± 1.5mm), however it's also important to recognise that this API is an advisory service.

Car Boots are not perfect square boxes; rear seats are at an angle and reduce the space between the bottom and the top of the boot, boot sides frequently have to accommodate space for the rear wheels and there are pockets and compartments that manufacturers provide to maximise the storage and flexibility of a boot. As such, there is an element of subjectivity to our data captures as we measure what we believe to be the narrowest, but most usable space within a boot.

It has not been possible to check that every buggy will fit in every car.  For this reason, the information on this site should only be used as a guide. Please double check your car measurements before purchasing a buggy.

But you can help improve the accuracy of the site! Please submit your car measurements here if you've found an error or some details we don't have!

  • Is the buggy and travel system information accurate?

We hope so! All Buggy and Travel System sizing information is provided directly from the brands, manufacturers and retailers. The information primarily covers the buggy frame and seat. Removable components such as carry-cots and car seats are not included in the results.

NOTE: The dimension data we use is based on the folded dimensions as provided by the brands, manufactuers and retailers.  In some instances, it may be possible that a buggy or travel system could be made smaller than indicated as we don't make allowance (currently!) for the removal of any detachable components - our dimension information assumes the wheels and handles are attached.

It's has not been possible to check that every buggy will fit in every car. For this reason, the results are provided as a guide only.

  • I'm interested in a buggy or travel system that you don't seem to have listed. What can I do?

We've tried to capture as much information across the market as we can, but we know there may be some gaps!

By default our Search results will show results where the buggy is available for sale. It will also hide the different variants of the same buggy. You can change both of these options in the Search By Car tool using the advanced options.

If your buggy still can't be found please contact us here and we'll do all we can to help!

  • Can I help improve this site and help other parents?

    Yes! You Can!

You can help by adding size details about your car. Select Contact Us  and simply fill in the form. Any additional information you can share with us will be very gratefully recieived.

You can also help by letting us know of any buggy or travel system information that isn't quite right. You can do that by filling in the form here

  • Will a carry cot or seat attachment fit in my boot too?

The buggy and travel system dimensions used on our site are for the main buggy frame or chassis when it has been folded. This usually includes the seat or pram cot area. However, many travel systems offer separate carrycots or chair attachments which usually need to be removed before folding a buggy. These detachable elements are not included in our calculations when we look at whether a buggy will fit into a boot.

If your preferred buggy or travel system has a separate carrycot or car seat attachment you may wish to book an appointment with a high street store such as Mamas and Papas or John Lewis and Partners who will let you try a buggy in your car before purchasing.

  • I've spotted an error in some buggy information. How can I let you know?

We'd be grateful if you could let us know about any buggy or travel system information that isn't quite right. You can do that by filling in the form here

  • The information on this site suggests my chosen buggy will fit in my car. What should I do before purchasing the buggy?

We're delighted the site has been of use.  If you've found a buggy that fits, then you may like to compare current prices at some top retailers by using our Price Comparison tool, or simply click on the "View Details" option next to a buggy result.

Before purchasing a buggy we would encourage you to measure your own car boot and satisfy yourself that your buggy will fit. If you'd like some reassurance then some high street stores such as Mamas and Papas or John Lewis and Partners will let you try a buggy in your car before purchasing.
